Lovely butterflies. Hmm, big books. I'm not really fussy about the size of my books, but if I'm walking around a lot a big book can be annoyingly weighty.

By the way, tag you're it Chartroose, I've tagged you in the 6 random things meme.

Thanks, Stephanie!
We should do a t-shirt! Let me think on this for a little while...

Care -- You're absolutely right about the Kindle being unimpressive. It is SOOO convenient, though. Brand new books only cost from $8 to $10, and you can download them instantly. It's kind of scary, because if it creates advocates out of lifelong readers like me, it can take over the industry. Maybe I'll write a post about it.

Ty -- Baby got books! I sneak peeks too, and sometimes I'm pretty sure I offend people when I do that. I form higher opinions of readers as well, unless they're like my ex, who only reads Sports Illustrated and Playboy (for the articles, of course).

Softdrink -- Jeez, it's nice to hear from you again! Hope your vacation went well. I'm not crazy about icky bugs either, unless they're butterflies.

I love big books and I cannot lie! (omigod, did I really just type that?). I think people who read are cool too! Sometimes when I'm in a public place and I see someone reading, I do the whole lean and sneak a peek thing. I happen to be really nosy about what people are reading. While I'm at it, I also check out their bookmarks. Truth be told, when I see people reading, I form a higher opinion of them.

That is just too funny!! I like Big Books Too!! I should have a T-shirt printed up!!

I don't tend to change what I read by the seaons. If anything changes, it's my reading habits!

Happy Thursday!

Stephen -- I believe you. You're way too refined to be caught dead in a 2-ton truck. I'm still picturing you in a Rolls, a Bentley, perhaps? If you can afford one of those, the size of your Johnson doesn't matter at all!

Lesley -- Thanks! I've seen that black and white swallowtail everywhere! It's so awesome; it reminds me of a zebra.

Lisa -- Mort (the Pug) is hilarious about this. He gets so excited that he spins around and around in circles. Pillow (the Persian) starts out all lassiez-faire about the whole thing but eventually becomes posessed to the point that he's hissing and pouncing on the light with his fur standing on end!

Ann -- I had no idea there was a butterfly shortage in the UK. How sad! There are quite a few different types of butterflies here in the US that are endangered. A couple have already become extinct. I hope this doesn't happen in Britain.

Linda -- I recently got a Kindle, and while it's 100 times more convenient to use, it absolutely cannot compare to the look, feel and smell of a big old hardcover book. I think the day is coming when many books will only be published electronically. I hope this happens after I'm dead, because I don't think I'll be able to deal with it!

I thought I was the only one who has a thing for hardcover books. I used to be so jealous of people who could afford them. I always waited for the paperbacks. Whenever I'd see people in the airport with hardcover books, I'd think that they were rich. Well, I'm still not rich but I do occasionally treat myself to a hardcover. I just love the feel of it in my hands.
