Man, you guys (Rose and Nancy), I wish I had some extra copies of "Matrimony" to send you. Maybe I'll buy a few extras once the paperback comes out and have a contest. Hmmm.....

Bybee and I are coveting everyone else's copies of Matrimony. So far, I haven't read a single negative review. Always cool.

I usually avoid those "S" concepts in the books I read, or at least in the books I enjoy reading, so Matrimony sounds good.

That said, Never Let Me Go is one of the best books I've read in years. Very creepy, but I think about it all the time.

Lenore, I love the big "s" words too, and they're usually what I gravitate to. "Matrimony" was a refreshing change because it was so normal.

Dew, I totally agree with you. I think it's terrific the way some authors are keeping in touch with book bloggers. Remember Diane Setterfield? "The Thirteenth Tale" became a hit through word of mouth on book blogs. It's savvy for newer authors to take advantage of this free publicity.

I'm truly loving all you're doing on your blog, Dew! It sounds like the read-a-thon was a smash.

The "s"s are what attracts me to books, but maybe I should take a stab at realism...

I had a copy from MotherTalk, but then Henkin contacted me for some blog giveaways. I think it's brilliant of him to work the blogosphere, and since his book is so wonderful, I'm sure the blog reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
