Literate Housewife–that amazingly beautiful, astonishingly talented, famously intelligent and all-around outstanding blogger has awarded this to me, little ol’ me! I am so thrilled and honored by this recognition that I feel all shiny and wriggly inside (although the wriggly part could be that annoying tapeworm).
I doubt Ms. Housewife realized that I have been coveting this award for a long time, and it will be placed conspicuously in my sidebar for all the blogosphere to admire and dream about. Maybe it’ll pull in few new subscribers as well ( ;
There are several wonderful bloggers I’d like to award this to, so without further ado, here they are:
Care at Care’s Online Book Club — She’s the sweetest and most cuddly book blogger out there and she has a generosity of spirit that shines through no matter what she’s discussing. When I grow up, I want to be just like her.
Chris at Stuff as Dreams are Made On — I adore Chris! There’s something about his relaxed writing style and his unique way of looking at the world that really appeals to me. He’s the only sci-fi/fantasy blogger I subscribe to, so he has to be the best!
Heather at Book Addiction — Heather is an accomplished writer (and thinker) for someone so young. I look forward to reading her book reviews and occassional snarky comments. Plus, Heather and I feel the same way about Jane Austen!
Julie at Bookworm — I feel like Julie and I could be great friends if we lived closer to each other. She’s very insightful about literature and life, and she’s got a terrific sense of humor. My kind of gal, for sure!
Kirsty at Other Stories — Kirsty is the blogger I trust the most due to her accurate and meaningful book reviews. I have written down (and read) more books recommended by Kirsty than by any other blogger. Plus, she’s a true feminist, which I greatly appreciate.
Softdrink at Fizzy Thoughts — Ahh, what can I say about this amazing blogger, except WOW! Softdrink is wickedly smart, wickedly funny and wickedly cool. If we didn’t live so far apart, I’d probably start stalking her. She’s my peep.
Verbivore at Incurable Logophilia — Verbivore is the most intelligent of all my choices, and I have learned more about literature from her than from any of the other blogs I subscribe to. She is very well-read and very well-rounded, and I really respect her.
Well, that’s it! Congrats to all of us, especially chartroose! And thanks again, LH (the check is in the mail).
